In 2009, approximately 40% of all sales in Perdido Key, Florida were "bank-related", primarily consisting of condo short sales and foreclosures. More than 92% of these short sales and foreclosure sales were priced under $500,000 with a whopping 70% priced under $300,000. Suprisingly, only a handful of luxury condos sold in distress (6 of 67 total).
Today, Perdido Key currently has 25 bank-related sales that are "pending". These pending sales mirror last year's statistics. Only 3 of the "pending" short sales and foreclosures are over $500,000 in price.
